Just in case you're curious, I thought you may like to know a little about 12thscaledolls, and the folks behind it.

My name is Tina and I live in North Essex with my family, which includes three curious and helpful cats. I've always loved miniatures and a few years ago became the lucky owner of my first ever dolls house. As I've always enjoyed crafts, I decided to try my hand at making some of the tiny things that would go in it. I bought a lump of polymer clay and I was hooked immediately! This fascinating, absorbing and time consuming hobby has put me in touch with miniaturists and collectors from all over the world.

I became interested in miniature doll making after being inspired by some of the wonderful dolls sculpted by these friends, and encouraged and mentored by Julie Campbell (Bellabelle Dolls), I decided to have a go myself. Now I want to spend every spare minute creating these little characters who start life as a ball of clay and some wire. I never know who will appear next!

Occasionally, some of my work can be seen on my ebay auctions (seller ID 123tinau), and the rest will be here in my on line shop, as and when I get time to make it! I must emphasise that these are not toys, but intended for adult collectors only. Miniatures contain many small hazards for small fingers and mouths!

I have also sourced some beautiful quality tiny print fabrics and trims which I decided to add to my shop, as they take hours of finding and many on line shops don't sell really tiny things that look good in scale miniatures. If you see something you like, don't hesitate, as I only buy small quantities and may not be able to get the same fabric or trim again. All my dolls are One Of A Kind sculpts and are signed. I may make another doll on a similar theme, but no two will ever be exactly alike, as I never use molds.

I would also like to add that this website has only been possible for me due to the many hours of programming done for me by my son, Phill, at who has the patience of a saint and never once rolled his eyes at me when I said 'could we just move that bit over there?' followed by, 'actually, could we put it back where is was?'

If you would like to put a link in my site, and can return the favour, then please send your request via the contact page, inluding your URL. I will need to check out your website before accepting your request, purely to ensure the content is relevant to miniatures or dollmaking.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding anything on my website, I'd be delighted to help if I can.
